How to Install an Amplifier to Your Helium Mining Hotspot

An Amplifier should be installed as close to the Antenna as possible. This is the reason why there are indoor and outdoor Amplifiers. If you are using a stock antenna, or you keep your antenna/miner inside, then you should use an indoor amplifier.

If you set up your antenna outside, then you should use an outdoor amplifier in order to minimize cable length.

You could also use an indoor amplifier for your outside antenna, however we do not recommend doing this. Keep your miner inside, connected with the AMPCHAMPMENT Indoor Amplifier, and connect it throughanother cable to your outside antenna.

3 Easy Steps to Install the AMPCHAMPMENT Amplifier:

  1. Connect the amplifier to the hotspot: We assume you already have a functioning Helium Hotspot, you can connect the amplifier to. (If you start from scratch, click here to see how to set up your miner) This is typically done using a coaxial cable, simply plug one end of the cable into the hotspot and the other end into the amplifier.

  2. Power on the amplifier: Once the amplifier is connected to the hotspot, you can power it on. This is typically done using a power switch or button on the amplifier itself.

  3. Test the hotspot: Once the hotspot and amplifier are set up, you can test them by connecting a device (such as a smartphone or laptop) to the hotspot's Wi-Fi network. You should be able to browse the internet or connect to other devices on the network. If you experience any issues, you may need to adjust the settings on the hotspot or amplifier or check for any problems with the equipment.

Adding a Cavity Filter to Your Set-Up:

A cavity filter is a device that helps to improve the performance of your system by blocking or passing specific frequency ranges. To use it, you will need to choose a filter that covers the frequency range you need, connect it to your antenna or transmitter, and test it to make sure it is working properly.

  1. Choose a filter that covers the frequency range you need. (EU 868MHz / US 915MHz)

  2. Connect the filter to your antenna or transmitter using a coaxial cable.

  3. Test the filter by transmitting a signal and measuring the strength at the other end.

Installing 2 Miners with a single Antenna by using a Splitterwith anAMPCHAMPMENT Amplifier

  1. In order to install two miners on a single antenna, you will need to purchase an antenna splitter. Make sure to unpack the splitter and ensure that it is in good working condition.

  2. Connect the antenna to the splitter: The first step in installing the miners is to connect the antenna to the splitter. This is typically done using a coaxial cable, simply plug one end of the cable into the antenna and the other end into the splitter.

  3. Connect the miners to the splitter: Next, you will need to connect the miners to the splitter. This is also typically done using coaxial cables, which should be included with the miners. Simply plug one end of each cable into the splitter and the other end into the miners.

  4. Power on the miners: Once the miners are connected to the splitter and the antenna, you can power them on.

  5. Test the miners: Once the miners are powered on, you can test them to ensure that they are working properly. You can do this by attempting to connect to the miners using a device (such as a computer or smartphone) and seeing if you are able to communicate with them. If you experience any issues, you may need to adjust the settings on the miners or check for any problems with the equipment.
